PRISON MINISTRY

So, last weekend, I was in Huntsville, TX… in PRISON! Yes, I’m not lying. And guess what??? I loved it! With the title of my blog, I’m sure you guessed already that I wasn’t there for misbehaving. Instead I was there doing something that I never imagined: a) I could do b) I was equipped to do and c) that I would enjoy!

But see, that’s one of those really awesome things about living by faith. You just walk, trusting that your Savior is the one leading and guiding you, and he will direct your paths!!! “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your paths” Proverbs 3:5

I work with an organization called Champions for Life that was founded by renowned athlete Bill Glass. (For more info on CFL, visit: www.billglasscfl.org). It was through this ministry that the Lord began guiding me, not only in ways to sharpen me in prison outreach, but he also started giving me a deeper desire for speaking to others about HIM!

At first, I thought: how in the world are these inmates going to relate to my testimony, to my story??? I felt like to these people, these prisoners, it would be a joke! Well, low and behold, it was! God helped me add humor to my silly little encounter with the law, and through laughter, He softened hearts and began to do His work in these peoples lives.

Never feel like you are ill prepared to do the work he has placed before you to do! If He is opening doors of opportunity for you to walk through, don’t allow fear and feelings of inadequacy hold you back! 2 Timothy 1:7 says: For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. So, if fear is holding you back, read this one more time and get those feeling in check!

I have a ton of prison ministry stories to share, but don’t want to make this blog too long. So, until next time, I leave you with this: Ephesians 1: 11-12 says: In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will, in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. So, next time you are presented with an opportunity that you feel you are unable to accomplish, read these passages, and remember who you serve!!!

Love,
Emille Victoria

My 1st P.I.N.K. BLOG!!!! Written 2/19/2010

My first PINK blog! Woo hoo!!!

WOW! Those are the words that are coming out of my mouth Saturday afternoon. WOW! It’s amazing to be able to see the fruit of your labor right there in front of you! After many years of dreaming and about one year of full-on preparing, we finally did our 1st ever PINK event. And it was a BLAST!!! Since some of you that will be reading this won’t really know what that is, I will purposely leave you in the dark so you come check it out when it hits a city near you :oD!

A recap of Saturday: The crowd was small and intimate. But that made it even more amazing and special! It confirmed that the people that were there, were the ones God had chosen to be there. The ladies and mom’s made me feel so blessed and encouraged! I just wanted to leap from my skin and jump for joy! You see, when you know you are walking into a destiny that God has prepared for you, that’s how you feel!!!! You want to shed your skin and your spirit just wants to leap up to heaven and give your heavenly father sweet kisses!!!

So, Lord Jesus, I just want to thank you for allowing me to reach out to this generation of young ladies that is so special in my heart! I pray for them and lift them up to you right now. I pray that they seek you daily so you can guide them towards the paths that you have specifically designed for each of them! Bless them! Give them the confidence to see themselves the way you see them! Thank you Lord for the blessing it was to meet them! Bless all the moms too! Bless them with your amazing wisdom as they raise up these ladies in the ways of the LORD! And thank you Father for the joy I feel as I walk in faith with this project! Help me always remember it’s not mine, but yours. I pray you do with it what YOUR will is, and not mine! I pray these things in Jesus’ name.

With love,

Emille Victoria
